If you are a surgeon, you need to know how important the appearance of the appendix is if the ovarian tumour frozen is suggestive of malignant mucinous ovarian neoplasm. If you are a gynaecologist; you need to know that a differentiation between atypical endometrial hyperplasia and well differentiated adenocarcinoma on an endometrial biopsy may not always be that easy and a close follow up may be needed. Pathology is at the centre of clinical medicine; and we need to showcase it’s relavance in actual “patient care and management” in front of our future doctors!
